MeMe (Thanks Annette!)

1. Link to the person who tagged me. Annette
2. Mention the rules.
3. Tell six quirky yet boring, unspectacular details about myself.
4. Tag 6 other bloggers linking to them.
5. Go to each person's blog and leave a comment that lets them know they've been tagged.

1. I can say the alphabet backwards (thanks to a talking doll, Cricket, that my sister had growing up) and all 50 states in alphabetical order (thanks to elementary school chorus..."Fifty Nifty United States...").

2.  I cannot stand to hear people chew.  It seriously sends shivers down my spine.  Popping gum and eating cereal are the WORST!!

3.  I am probably the only American in the world that does not like pizza!

4.  I can pick things up with my toes.

5. I hate lima beans.  I mean, I really hate lima beans.  If they're even on my plate I've completely lost my appetite.  I currently have a bag of veggies with lima beans in my freezer that Brett bought and it skeeves me out every time I open the door.

6. I have a very unhealthy, inexplainable attraction to Eddie Vedder.  Don't ask me - I have no idea.  He's not cute at all.  But I <3 him!

And I will tag: Tam, Alicia, Marie, Karen, Cheryl, and Sandy

Long time, no blog...

Yeah, yeah...I know.

What do you want from me?

GOOD NEWS: School is over!  Summer vacation, baby!
BAD NEWS: I've been so busy I haven't had a moment to breathe!

I obviously survived the end of the school year, and have barely checked my school email since. Right after school was out I went to the Cozy Crop House in Lancaster, PA with some friends for the weekend.  I was able to do a bit of scrapping (that was the last time I did!).  Among other projects, I was able to put together this BoBunny 6x6 Binder Album with the SEI Poppy Line:

Definitely one of my favorite projects.  It just came together so well!

Not long after that we headed down to Virginia to visit Brett's mom.  While we were there we took the kids to King's Dominion:

We really lucked out - it was the day before the Fourth of July, so there were very few lines!

We spent the next day at Ferry Farms (George Washington's childhood home) and Fredericksburg.  So much fun!

When we got home, I started working in high gear preparing for my sister's bridal shower.  I made the candy favors, scratch off cards to give away the centerpieces, and a set of thank you cards as one of her gifts:

The shower was this past weekend - a tremendous success!  Just three weeks until the wedding and it will all be over!

Whew!  I'm tired just typing all of this!  The good news is, I have a bit of a break before we have to go back up for the wedding...so hopefully some scrapping will be in my future!!

Oh - and Lain - I got your message from Alicia! :)

Oh, so very behind...

Yep.  It's that time of year.  School is winding down...just a few days left before summer vacation.  In the meantime I have:
  • Faculty breakfast
  • Faculty meeting
  • Senior/Faculty dinner
  • Graduation
  • Four final exams to write

ALL BY FRIDAY.  Yikes.

On the scrapping front, there's not really much time for anything right now.  I've done a few pages and projects here and there that I have to photograph and post.  The scrap room is actually clean for a change - mostly due to the fact that it's been seriously neglected.  Just a few days more.

I have, surprise, surprise, managed to keep up with Shimelle's Scrap Your Day Challenge.  Here are my pictures from May 25:
Collage 05.25.08 1600x1281(A) Late start for me...May 25th was a Sunday, and we slept until 10:15! (B) Me. :) (C) Coffee in my green mug this morning, with a bit of reading material - Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. (D) Roses from our anniversary starting to open.  (E) My band fits and has barely left my finger since Tuesday, but the eternity band is still being sized. :(  (F) Wildflowers thrown in a planter on my deck starting to grow.  (G) Breakfast - yum!  (H) ATM drive-through and (I) Wal-Mart trip. (J) Jake was thrilled with his kid's meal toy from (K) Arby's, where we had lunch with Brett. (K) Jake's brand new bicycle!  (L) Zack wanted to ride his, but had a flat!  (M) Bunny spotted in my front yard.  (N) My day lilies are starting to bud!  (O) Big oak in my front yard - summer is here!  (P) Purdy toes - and flip flops today due to the warm weather.  (Q) Dinner - spaghetti pie!  (R) Evening spent typing my syllabus for my (S) AP Biology class for next year.

Whew!  Busy day!

Alright - I need to disappear for a few days to accomplish everything on my list above...stay tuned!

A May Mini... :)

I finally finished this mini album made with the May GBC Kit.  The pictures were left over from the bazzillion that I took when we went to Devil's Den in Gettysburg, PA.  I'm glad I found something to do with them! xoxo

I suck.

And am, apparently...a liar.

Oh, well...I'm here now. :)

It's been a while, so let me give you a brief update.  Firstly, I'm taking a great free class, Scrap Your Day, by Shimelle.  The thought is, you take pictures throughout the day on the 25th of each month, and scrap them in a cute mini book.  I figure I can commit to one day a month, so we'll see how this goes.  I plan to work on the book itself over the weekend.

Here are the pictures that I took yesterday, the first day of the class:

042508_collage From left to right, and top to bottom:  (1) My brand spanking new GBC check card that came in the mail yesterday - I was so excited!  (2) House, Season 3...it was a really good mail day.  (3) The tree in my front yard.  I thought it would be fun to take a picture of it every month to document the seasons.  (4) GBC kits, boxed up and read to be shipped!  (5) Cute little mini notebooks that I made for my girls that I'm cropping with next weekend at the Cozy Crop House in Lancaster, PA...and (6) the little owl one that is my favorite (I think I might keep that one for myself!).  (7) Me! :)  (8) My new black Airwalk shoes that I picked up at Payless...I love them!  (9) My alarm clock...5:08...I had to bring my sister to the airport!  (10) My No. 1 Mom coffee mug (another thing I plan on repeating every month).  (11) My poor pitiful miniature sunflowers...I hope they grow before May 25!  (12) Cute Passover card I got in the mail from my buddy Michele.

I'm also taking another great online class by Debbie Hodge, called Scrap Events.  If you recall, I took the Scrap Yourself class last month, and  I just can't say enough wonderful things about Debbie's classes...she has a new book out as well...you can read all about her classes and the book on her website here.

Passover is winding down...making another big meal tonight, and then it will be leftovers for lunch tomorrow.  Sundown tomorrow marks the end of the holiday and PIZZA in the Molin household!  Woo Hoo!!

Countdown...2...1...

Two...count them...TWO more days of school 'til break.  Oh my goodness, I can't even express in words how happy I am.  I see lots of scrapping in my future!

Actually, the end of this week will be taken up with Passover preparations.  My mother-in-law is blessedly hosting the seder on Saturday night, but we will do the second night's on our own when we return from Virginia, so I need to pre-plan for that.  Nothing off the wall, but it must be done nonetheless.

And...the matzah balls are coming...mmmmmm....
