I'm {in}Famous!
I had the pleasure of meeting Lain Ehmann at CHA in February. What a sweetie!
Well - she documented the meeting on her Flip...and posted a collage of CHA memories on her blog here. And I'm in it!!! Yay! Thanks, Lain!

1. April and me at my senior prom. I went with the biggest dork because my boyfriend at the time dumped me two weeks prior.
2. Our childhood cat, Nermal. So fat, so sweet.
3. Yes, Brett and I did actually know each other as teenagers. He was so tough, with his leather jacket and long hair.
4. Kassy and I – we were such close friends. I still hear from her from time to time _ she lives in Florida with her adorable daughter, Colleen.
5. Our group of friends at SWR HS during our senior breakfast. Truth: I don’t remember most of their names!
6. Brian Zay. One of my ex-boyfriends, who turned into a very close friend (albeit a bit of a dork). He married April (see no. 1).
7. I had such a crush on Stev (nee Steven, but too cool for the “e” at the end) throughout high school and was thrilled when we did a play together (The Line) in which we had to kiss! Sigh. No idea what happened to him. He is probably in jail.
8. My ugly grey Chevy Cavalier. My first car that I loved more than anything and crashed 1 week after I started driving (hence the dent).
9. Senior trip, 1994. Josh (who I was supposed to be picking up before no. 8), Matt (the ex-boyfriend mentioned in no. 1), and I spent the entire time in Kings Dominion together. Of course, if you go there now, Wayne’s World isn’t there anymore. Does anyone even remember that movie?

Dontcha sometimes wish that you could rewind your life and make yourself save receipts, ticket stubs, etc. from your teenage years? I threw so much away that I wish I had now for my scrapbooks!
I'm working on a particular page right now for the Scrap Yourself class and really wished that I saved those New Kids on the Block concert tickets (yes, I said New Kids on the Block...). So what did I do? I found this site that will generate them for you!
Too stinking cool!!!

Here is my next layout for the Scrap Yourself class...
I feel so fulfilled working on layouts for this class. Next on the list: buy an album to put them in!

So, I've taken a few online classes over the past year or so, and I really thing I'm becoming addicted to them!
My newest is by NYC Scraps. The class is called Scrap Yourself and is taught by the amazingly talented Debbie Hodge. The amount of information and inspiration you receive in this class is by far superior to any I've taken before. You can view a sample class here.
The entire class is aimed at helping you start putting together a book about yourself...and Debbie's journaling prompts and quotes for inspiration have really pushed me to scrap more about myself than I've ever done before!
Here are my first two layouts:
Hopefully I'll be able to keep up - this one is three classes a week - YIKES!

This is a peek at a mini-book I'm doing as my next online class for Go. Be Creative. Do you see the "1"? I colored that in all by myself! ;)

I picked up this old typesetter's tray at an antique store a few weeks ago:
I've seen these used at shadowboxes, knick-knack holders, etc...but I decided to take a bit of a different approach (inspired by Ali Edwards, who did one for her dining room).
Whew! It was a lot of work, but totally worth it! This will hang in my hallway above a small table. I love it!
