Cropping

April 26, 2008

I suck.

And am, apparently...a liar.

Oh, well...I'm here now. :)

It's been a while, so let me give you a brief update.  Firstly, I'm taking a great free class, Scrap Your Day, by Shimelle.  The thought is, you take pictures throughout the day on the 25th of each month, and scrap them in a cute mini book.  I figure I can commit to one day a month, so we'll see how this goes.  I plan to work on the book itself over the weekend.

Here are the pictures that I took yesterday, the first day of the class:

042508_collage From left to right, and top to bottom:  (1) My brand spanking new GBC check card that came in the mail yesterday - I was so excited!  (2) House, Season 3...it was a really good mail day.  (3) The tree in my front yard.  I thought it would be fun to take a picture of it every month to document the seasons.  (4) GBC kits, boxed up and read to be shipped!  (5) Cute little mini notebooks that I made for my girls that I'm cropping with next weekend at the Cozy Crop House in Lancaster, PA...and (6) the little owl one that is my favorite (I think I might keep that one for myself!).  (7) Me! :)  (8) My new black Airwalk shoes that I picked up at Payless...I love them!  (9) My alarm clock...5:08...I had to bring my sister to the airport!  (10) My No. 1 Mom coffee mug (another thing I plan on repeating every month).  (11) My poor pitiful miniature sunflowers...I hope they grow before May 25!  (12) Cute Passover card I got in the mail from my buddy Michele.

I'm also taking another great online class by Debbie Hodge, called Scrap Events.  If you recall, I took the Scrap Yourself class last month, and  I just can't say enough wonderful things about Debbie's classes...she has a new book out as well...you can read all about her classes and the book on her website here.

Passover is winding down...making another big meal tonight, and then it will be leftovers for lunch tomorrow.  Sundown tomorrow marks the end of the holiday and PIZZA in the Molin household!  Woo Hoo!!

Our last fund-raising crop, (benefits to BreastCancer.org), was a huge success! The gift basket auction was memorable. Remarkable quantities of items were donated for our auction, with values of the baskets often exceeding $300. This crop promises to be even better! With hot new products from leading manufacturers already promised, it is sure to be a crowd pleaser. You won’t want to miss the opportunity to have some of these brand new items, as well as great gifts donated by other businesses!

Registration is open until April 1, or until it sells out.  Payment is due on or before April 27th

SCRAPS OF KINDNESS TABLE:

Please consider contributing your extra stash of stickers, paper, embellishments or any other gently used items to our scraps of kindness table.

On the day of the event just drop your donations on the table and any scrapbooker can take anything they need (in return for a personally selected minimal donation). At the end of the day, anything left will be donated to another organization that uses scrapbooking for theraputic purposes (for example, the Ronald McDonald House).

Go. Be Creative. will be donating several kits as door prizes - you won't want to miss it!

For registration information or details on how to donate prizes, visit Crop for the Dream or email Lyn.

I hope to see everyone there!

xoxo
